I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through a difficult time. I remember feeling that way. I have teenagers now, but remember well - all of it. I think that my best medicine was to put them both in the stroller and go for walks - a lot - maybe even more than once a day. If you are anything like me when someone tells me to 'exercise' i pretty much look and go the other way. Honestly it will help. Your endorphins and adrenaline will both kick in when you are moving around in the sunshine. Thankfully it is a nice time of year to get out. Be glad it isn't January and rainy or snowy.

This will help you and your kids. Your tantrum problem may be reduced as well because he is getting the same medicine you are. I think that kids emotions can mimic mom's - not very helpful when you are feeling down.

You WILL fell better and I'm sure you will enjoy your motherhood immensely. They are a challenge but a beautiful blessing.

God Bless
References :
me

Well, hun. I know you know what lack of sleep can do to your brain! It sure made me a little cranky! Be thankful though, she is healthy! I was in an abusive realationship for four years, including two months of my son's life. I came to find out that most of my problems were solved when I left him, I was the only one up with him all night anyway (sound familiar?) Things will get better hun..I would talk to your doctor, of have him\her refer you to a social worker. I know, it might sound crazy, but you never know they might help you more than anything... especially if you have negative thoughts toward your children. Take care, and hold your head up high!! You have the MOST IMPORTANT job in the world!!! Raising those kids right,,,because,,who else will but you?
References :
experience

talk to your dr. and let him/her know how you are feeling and ask if they have any suggestions for a natural way to treat it. try to take a few minutes for yourself when the kids are at the babysitters or daycare, etc. and journal, try yoga, or paint your nails. watch the tv show you've been dying to see. even just taking 5 minutes to listen to your favorite song might help boost your mood. remind yourself that you are blessed to have children and that your children are beautiful and you created them! isnt that wonderful?!

definitely talk to your dr. and see what they would suggest.
References :
I'm sorry that you're having a hard time. I've been there, and it sucks. You really need to tell your doctor that you are having problems They can give you natural suggestions if you really are against medications. For me, I tried toughing it out and hating my life but it wouldn't go away on its own.
Try getting as much outside help with the kids and cleaning or whatever as you can. I felt like I had to do everything by myself and it made my life much harder. Sometimes you just need to hire a sitter, go into your room and have a 3 hour nap. Take care of yourself, and try to think about what you love about your kids. But talk to your Dr., too!
Hope you feel better soon!
References :
Been there, done that

if you believe you have postpartum depression my advice to you is go to a doctor and explain your situation. mothers have made awful and painful desisons because they didnt get the treatment they needed. i dont believe there is a natural way to cure a depression, medications and counseling though, do help. please get the help you need now, before you do something you might regret later.
